Historic Half Marathon

Congrats to ray Miller who set a personal best at the Historic langley half marathon.  Here is his race report:

I ran the first 10k in 52 minutes (about 5:13 per km) and I realized that I was running too hard to keep it up, so I backed off to 5:24 for 8k and took it easier through the hilly stretches. At 18 k I pulled out all the stops, and pushed it too the end, last 3k run at a pace of 4:54 per km and finished with a sprint.

Overall 5:15 per km and a fail on the negative split I think, though I am not totally sure. But I am very happy with the new personal best time of 1:49:59.5, welcome to the sub 1:50 club. And I don't even feel like I will be feeling much pain tomorrow. Will let you know.

Final note, the pub in Fort Langley needs to get their act together, for the last two years running they have had terrable service, and this time we all walked out after waiting for our food for over an hour.
