Wow, great weather for the half ironman this year which is western canada's largest half ironman.  The hot weather definitely made it a tough day as we haven't seen any warm weather yet this year so a bit of a shock to the system. 

Some Highlites are:  Scott Tremblay finishing 2nd overall and showing you can still improve after many years of racing and on half the amount of hours training.  Roy McBeth for setting a record for most IV's ever taken for a half ironman................5.5 litres:)  And to Stevi Williams for having fastest bike split in her age group.  And Linda Smith for winning the bike at the awards!

Well done to all these athletes who toughed out a very hot day.  Many PB's were set even in the hot conditions
